Terms in this document: "Shall" means you must do to comply. "May" means
permIssIve.
Section 1.

HULLS 1DECKS.

All hulls shall have the decks fitted before they leave the Manufacturer.
All hulls shall be made from an authorized NAUTIC 12 mould or a mould
supplied by TRIPLE Y YACHTS.

Hulls taken from a mould that has been taken off a NAUTIC 12 hull shall be
considered illegal.

Any alteration of the hull or deck and rudder whether by cutting, drilling,
sanding or filling with any material to change the contours in anyway except
painting shall be refused a rating certificate.
All hulls shall have the rudder fitted prior to delivery. In case of loss or
damage to the rudder a replacement shall be sought from an authorized
manufacturer only.

Hulls and decks shall be of a sound construction.
The minimum weight of the bare hull weight shall be 1.850 kg with a
maximum of 2.05 kg.
All hull and decks and rudders shall be made in fiberglass using ge1cote,
polyester resin and 3/40z. chop strand mat only.
A Manufacturer's nametag shall be affixed to the inside of the hull
permanently. It shall be viewed from the hatch opening. It shall contain th~

W""e of the hull manufacturer and th~ hull's sequential number.


SECTION 2.

WEIGHT OF YACHT.

The weight of the yacht all up in 'racing trim' including batteries shall not be
less than 11.5 kgs nor more than 11.7 kgs Maximum.

The keel ballast material shall be lead. A corrector weight/s is recommended
if small adjustments need to be made to the ballast but these corrector weights
shall be fixed permanently in position and shall be noted by the measurer.

SECTION 3.

MAST.
All measurement in this section shall be maximum measurements and unless
otherwise stated are subject to a tolerance of -5 mm.

HEIGHT OF MAST.

Maximum 1830 mm high mast measured from the deck. Measurement
includes mast crane.

One or two sets of spreaders may be used. They shall not protrude further out
than a half beam of the hull at mast position.
The forestay take -off point shall be measured from the deck and it shall be
1498 mm up the mast.

The mast crane length may be 85 mm long maximum.

The mast shall be constructed of aluminium and it shall be grooved to take a
bolt rope main sail luff attachment.
The mast shall not be tapered.
There shall be two stays on each side of the yacht consisting of Uppers and
lowers.

A jenny strut may be used on the mast. It shall be maximum of 50 mm x 75
mm. The gooseneck shall not be less than 75 mm off the deck. Measured from the
bottom of the Main boom. ,1'
The mast shall have at least one backstay and may be operated by remote
control.

Mast controls that shall only be adjusted manually are: Gooseneck! vang, Jib
leach control, main sail cunningham, sail flow controls, mast prop
/compression strut, jenny strut wires.

There may be a 'counter weight device' to help the jib to 'goose wing' down
wind.

DECK ATTACHMENTS.

Deck attachment of stays shall be for one main set stays and may have one or
two sets of lowers supporting stays each side.
Deck attachment of stays on each side of the mast is open to personal
preference. However, the chain plates or deck eyes shall not to be more than
10mm from the outer side of the hull.
The mast shall be deck stepped, compression posts or mast props are
permitted.
Permanently bent masts are prohibited.


SECTION 4.

BOOMS.
All measurement in this section shall be maximum measurements unless
otherwise stated are subject to a tolerance of -5 mm

Booms shall be constructed of Aluminium.

Main Boom shall be a maximum length of 585 mm and the Jib boom shall be
a maximum length 508 mm.
Only rack and swivel type jib boom attachment is permitted on the foredeck.


SECTION 5.

RADIO CONTROL EQUIPMENT.
A four channel radio may be used and may use the following servo operating

functions up to a maximum number of four these are: Sail winch (main / jib).
Rudder.
Back stay.

Jib twitcher.
Batteries: The yacht shall sail with the batteries weight as measured.

SECTION 6.

DECK HARDWARE


The Mainsail sheet post shall have a maximum height from deck of70mm. No
minimum height of sheet post.
There shall be no sheet travelers / carriages permitted.
The winch drum/s may be mounted on the deck or under the deck.



BUMPER:
A bumper shall be used in accordance with National rules.
The yacht shall display its registration numbers on its main sail.


NOTE # If an Item is not mentioned in these Rating Rules, then it cannot be
used.
